An engineering studio in Jakarta building systems that outlast the teams who commission them.
Moodkuit was founded in 2018 by four engineers who had spent a decade inheriting other people’s systems. We had seen the same failure repeatedly: software delivered on time, praised at launch, and unmaintainable eighteen months later because nobody wrote down why any of it worked that way.
So we built the studio around the opposite habit. Every consequential decision gets an architecture decision record. Every engagement ends with a running system, a test suite that means something, and documentation your own engineers can act on. We staff with senior people who stay until production is boring.
Today we are sixty-five engineers, designers and delivery leads working from South Jakarta with clients across Indonesia, Singapore and Japan — in logistics, financial services, healthcare, retail and energy.

How we got here
Four engineers, one recurring problem, and a decision to charge for the discovery work everyone else gave away — because the projects that skipped it were the ones that failed.
Written decisions
Every consequential choice has an architecture record you inherit.
Production first
We stay until the system is stable under real load, not until the demo ends.
No hand-offs
Design, engineering and operations sit in the same delivery team.

How we work
Discovery, architecture, delivery and operation — each ends with something written that belongs to you.
One to three weeks, fixed price. You leave owning the domain model and a scoped backlog.
Decision records, data model and delivery plan — reviewed with your engineers.
Two-week increments, each ending in a working deployment you can use.
Hypercare, monitoring and a documented handover your team can run.
Who we work with
In their words
“They refused to start building until the domain model was right. That week of pushback saved us a year of rework.”
Dimas PrasetyoChief Operating Officer, Nusantara Logistics“The portal handles patient data the way a clinical system should — audited, scoped and boringly reliable.”
dr. Amelia KusumaMedical Director, Sagara Health Group“Our outlets are in basements with terrible signal. Moodkuit designed for that reality instead of arguing with it.”
